As a part of the Grand Junction Circulation Plan, the Active Transportation Plan identifies major corridors (using streets, canals and drainage ways) important for non motorized travel, providing critical, safe, continuous and convenient connections for bicyclists and pedestrians. They are depicted for planning purposes only, to guide the development of future infrastructure, right of way and easements needs. Not all corridors are currently open to public use. Any future routes shown along canals, ditches and drainage corridors would be constructed in cooperation with property owners and those holding other use and/or easement rights.

[ "active transportation corridors", "circulation plan", "planning", "development", "ROW", "canals", "streets"
}
